  • The romantic score to the Emmy award-winning series written by best-selling author Patrick Gayle, directed by BAFTA winner Michael Samuels starring Academy Award winner Vanessa Redgrave alongside Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Julian Morris, Joanna Vanderham, James McArdle and David Gyasi. Man in an Orange Shirt was produced by Lisa Osborne and Diederick Santer for Kudos as part of the BBC’s Gay Britannia Season, which celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Sexual Offences Act. The films won the 2018 International Emmy Award for Best TV Movie or Miniseries.

     

    Man in an Orange Shirt is the latest collaboration between composer Dan Jones and director Michael Samuels, who previously  worked together on The Fear and Any Human Heart, which won BAFTA awards for Best Drama Serial and Best Television Score.

     

    Featuring the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, this luscious romantic soundtrack to Man in an Orange Shirt may remind listeners of the classic scores of Gabriel Yared, James Horner and John Barry.
